Why FLX?
Every detail in this short exists to get out of your way. The scalloped cut stays clear on every squat, clean, and box jump. The perforated back panel moves heat before you feel it. The fabric is heavy enough to survive barbell contact and turf — and still stretch in four directions without pulling.
We didn't design this for Instagram. We designed it for the person who shows up before the lights come on and doesn't leave until the work is done.

What Happens When You Train In Them
The Standard Lives Here.
Every entry in Field Notes is written from the floor — about training, discipline, and what it actually takes to hold the standard when no one's watching. If you train like it matters, this is for you.
FAQs
The 5" hits mid-thigh — maximum mobility, preferred by most CrossFit and Olympic lifting athletes. The 7" gives a little more coverage without restricting movement. Both are scalloped-cut to stay out of your way. Both disappear when you train. Pick based on preference — you can't go wrong with either.
Runs true to size. If you're between sizes or train in a bigger build, size up. Available S through XXL. Check the size chart above the Add to Cart button.
Heavy-duty 4-way stretch built to handle real training — barbell contact, turf, rope climbs, everything. Not the thin stuff that looks good on a hanger. This fabric is built to take a beating and hold its shape. It's also why this short has a longer break-in feel than cheaper alternatives — that's the durability talking.
We've had customers training in these for two-plus years without degradation. The scallop cut holds, the pockets hold, the fabric holds. That's the point. Buy it once, train in it for years
